Another Cable Car Story - 2/7/2011

So we’d read a story in the New York Times about the 10 best things to do in San Francisco if you only have 24 hours, and it mentioned the cable car was $1.50 (“the best entertainment deal in San Francisco,” he’d said). When we get there, it said the price was $5 a ticket - quite an increase!! I went over to ask some of the men if that was really the price, because I thought it used to be $1.50, and one of them said, “Well, it used to be a nickel too. Things change.” Okay. I felt a bit rebuffed. Tricia and I turned around and walked away, and they noticed her shirt says Case Western Kung Fu Club. Suddenly they were running after us wanting to be her best friend. “Hey, hey! What Kung Fu can you do??“ They were really disappointed when she told them she hadn’t ever actually done Kung Fu.
